Supermodel sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid have plunked down some serious cash for some New York City real estate over the last two years, Gimme Shelter can exclusively reveal.
In late 2019, Bella, 23, paid $6.1 million for a renovated Soho penthouse, originally on the market for $6.99 million, and last priced at $6.49 million.
Listing brokers Douglas Albert and Brian Rice, of Corcoran, declined to comment. Bella was repped by “Million Dollar Listing New York” star Ryan Serhant, of Nest Seekers International, who also declined to comment.
The seller was Joe & the Juice founder Kaspar Basse, who bought the 2,180-square-foot unit with two bedrooms and two bathrooms at 63 Greene St. for $5.85 million in 2017. The buyer hadn’t been identified — until now.
Bella’s new Soho lair is smart wired, featuring custom lighting with motorized blackout shades in the bedrooms, built-in closets and a “dramatic 100-bottle custom back-lit wine room,” per the listing.
The six-story elevator building in Soho’s Cast Iron Historic District dates to 1877, but the building wasn’t converted to condos until 2016.
Meanwhile, 25-year-old Gigi quietly dropped $5.82 on the only townhouse at 10 Bond St., designed by Annabelle Selldorf, back in December 2018. The deal was never reported.
She already owns in the new-development Noho building and plans on combining the two units, sources tell Gimme Shelter.
Gigi’s first 10 Bond buy was a two-bedroom, 2½-bathroom unit, purchased for $3.97 million in 2015. That apartment features 10-foot-10-inch ceilings, casement windows and a chef’s kitchen.
As for the latest splurge, the townhouse has three bedrooms and 3½ baths over 2,955 square feet, according to the listing.
It’s a duplex with a 770-square-foot landscaped private terrace with a fire pit, barbecue grill and outdoor refrigerator.
“Gigi, Bella and their mother, Yolanda, were involved,” our spy says. “They loved the privacy of the townhouse, which comes with a garage.”
Corcoran’s Charlie Attias, who declined to comment, repped both Hadid and the townhouse’s seller.
