Artist Wade Guyton pays $525K for Jasper Johns’ old NYC studio

This Greenwich Village studio may seem simple, but it has quite the pedigree.

It was formerly home to the artists Jasper Johns and Alfred Leslie, and the writer Max Eastman. Now the 10th-floor spread at 8 W. 13th St. was just purchased by artist Wade Guyton for its asking price of $525,000.

Guyton is known for using digital technology, like inkjet printing and scanners, to create works on canvas. His work has been exhibited at the Whitney, Galerie Chantal Crousel in Paris and the Museum Ludwig in Cologne.

The light-filled studio comes with a decorative fireplace, ceilings just under 12 feet and a bathroom.

It was last on the market for $525,000.

Listing broker Valerie Artzt, of Compass, declined comment.
